A perfect job is so hard to get. If you are from the lower class, 99.9% of the time you will stay in the lower class. Our social structure is so defined that it's real easy to go down but it doesn't work the other way around. It is very hard to work up the ladder, and even if you can, some jobs are too boring, some you don’t get enough cocoa beans and some are just plain terrible. Our merchant spies have yet again gotten a market analysis on jobs in Tenochtitlan. The Tenochtitlan Times will reveal with you the most desired jobs available and find the perfect job for you.
#1: Emperor
In first place is the Emperor. Now, you may think, what’s the chance of me ruling our society? Well, chances are slim and limited to the noble class and above but emperors are chosen after displaying ways how they would be a great leader. They are the richest in all of our Aztec empire and they can decide what our conquered neighbouring regions will give us as tribute.
#2: Warriors
So maybe warriors risk their lives to conquer other regions but they are valued quite a bit. They can gain rank through their accomplishments in battle and they would be showered with gifts if they succeeded.
#3: Priests/priestesses
Imagine being able to decide what the Aztecs would do each day after observing the sacred calendar and conducting sacrificial ceremonies. Priests and priestesses do just that. It may require you to draw a little blood once in a while as a sacrifice but that is the only con.
#4: Nobles
Nobles own land and eat much better than commoners. They have slaves working under them and life is better than the average person.
#5: Merchants
While having chances to see the outside world, they trade for goods in foreign markets and are well thought of by the majority of the Aztec population. They also get to live in a special part of Tenochtitlan.
#6: Law Industry
The people who work in the law industry get to bring justice to the Aztec people. They get to make laws and send people to jail.
So there you have it. The top six jobs right now in Tenochtitlan. Hope we answered your questions and we look forward to giving you more information next week.
*Slaves, commoners and worm harvesters, please do not be offended. Your job is not very desirable. Sorry but its the truth. Maybe you’ll fare better in our next week’s business report.
